It's a....BOY!!

Well, our little "it" has now become a "HE!" We are definitely without a doubt having a little BOY! Skyler and I had been wanting to find out what the sex was on Christmas, so we decided to do a gender check ultrasound at 15 weeks. The plan was to have the doctor find the gender as we either looked away or closed our eyes and then put it in a card, which we would open on Christmas. Well, lets just say we are both very impatient people when it comes to things like that. Me especially, I HATE surprises! So when we saw our cute baby moving around like crazy and showing off its acrobatics, we just had to know right then! Within a minute both our mouths dropped! IT WAS A BOY!!!

Skyler had the biggest grin on his face, it was the cutest thing id ever seen. The second we left the clinic he started saying, "I can't wait to tell my friends!" "I'm going to get him a four wheeler!" "He's going to be in wrestling!" "Can we get him a dirt bike and four wheeler car seat cover!?" He is already looking at baby Puma shoes, and BYU jerseys I'm sure. For me? Well, its no surprise to anyone that Skyler and I were kinda hoping for a boy first...but we would have been just as happy with either. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to be parents, and that Heavenly Father loved us and trusted us enough to have this miracle baby. I'm just happy he looks healthy and that I get a sweet baby boy in just 5 months! I can't wait to kiss his cute cheeks and feel his tiny hands and feet. ahhh and I cannot wait to hold and snuggle him! :) So, to baby BOY Dyer...you are loved and we CANNOT WAIT to meet you!

Thanksgiving with the Dyers'

Alright, alright, i'm way behind on my blogging! It is now DAY 3 of best rest. and i'm already sick of laying around all day. Seeing as how I have nothing else to do, I figured id better catch up on blogging. Its been a busy few months and sadly...I left our camera in Utah so I wont be able to update you on our Halloween extravaganzas! SoOo I guess ill just start with THANKSGIVING!!

This Thanksgiving was the first one i've ever spent away from my immediate family. Well, all I can say about that, is that i'm thankful the Dyer family is so much like my own. Fun, understanding, loving, and man can my mothers cook! My mom makes the best Thanksgiving dinners but so does my mother in law! We spent Thanksgiving in Winter Park Colorado in a very nice cabin. Seeing as how we all live in apartments right now because of Skylers work and having to travel a lot, we had to get something bigger to fit all of us. The girls slaved away in the kitchen preparing pies, side salads, appetizers, etc while the BOYS played games! Lucky men! Dinner turned out amazing and we had a lot of fun there.

McKay took family pictures of us all at the cabin. Here are just a few! (as you can see, Chad and Khyle did not like to cooperate!) Did I edit these with cheesy frames and add Santa hats into the pictures? YES I did! haha I was bored...don't judge.

I was also able to build MY FIRST snowman! lol Yes, thats right. I have lived in Utah and Colorado and have never built a snowman. Don't get me wrong; i've always wanted to, but every time we made an attempt the snow was always wrong, or someone didn't want to. SO as soon as my brother and sister in laws found out I had never built one, they made sure we did!

We had a lot of fun, giggled, made fun of each other, and had snow ball fights a lot! It was also nice to have Skyler to myself for a few days, work has been so crazy and he's been working his butt off! I am so grateful for him and his work to provide for his little family and give us the life we want. I am also thankful for my baby one the way, my wonderful friends and family, my cute puppy Rookie, and most importantly my Heavenly Father. I feel so overwhelmed with blessings and gratitude, this Thanksgiving we had A LOT to be thankful for!

PS. we put up our Christmas tree and finished decorating our place! I love the warm feeling christmas brings to the home, yet another blessing I am thankful for.

Our Miracle Baby~

For those of you who talk to me frequently, or fallow my blog, you know that my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. It was an ectopic pregnancy, meaning instead of the baby being in my uterus where it needed to be... it was in my tube. It was probably the hardest and most painful thing I have even had to go through.  My tube ended up bursting and had to be surgically removed. I remember thinking only having ONE tube, ovulating every other month, and having just had surgery, there was no way we would be able to get pregnant again quickly and without any complications. My faith was crushed; I had prayed for so long that id be able to keep our baby, and in the end, I lost it anyway.

Well, this just goes to show that Heavenly Father has a few tricks up his sleeves and wanted to show me that miracles DO happen! Once the doctor gave me and Skyler the "ok" to start trying again, we both fasted and prayed that we would be able to have a baby, that my body would know what to do, and id be able to carry it to full term. I remember lying in bed by myself one night and silently praying to my Heavenly Father to give me a miracle. I begged and pleaded and in the middle of my prayer ....I had this strong feeling that everything would be ok, and that I already was! HAH What a crazy feeling! Sure enough the next morning I was tired, boobs hurt, and I was breaking out like crazy. I knew I was pregnant! I tested early at on 3 1/2 weeks pregnant and it came out positive! :)

Then the horror set in. What if its not in the right place? What if its another ectopic pregnancy!? I must have called my sister Becky daily to give me advice and help me to stay positive. She just has this light about her that helps me get through anything. I went in to my doctor right away to make sure my HCG levels were rising appropriately. At only 3 weeks 5 days I was at 80, and then two days later I was at 360! More than doubled! Woo hoo! I had some complications early on so of course I was constantly worried and going to see my doctor, but at 5 weeks we saw that it was in my uterus (a blessing in itself) and at 6 weeks we heard its tiny heartbeat. I had wanted to hear that for so long, and when I finally did every trial seemed so much more worth it.

Since then i've been to see my doctor (Dr. Gelman and now Dr. Jones) A LOT! This is by no means an easy pregnancy. I envy those girls who's biggest problem is morning sickness. If only that were mine. This week I am 13 weeks pregnant and yesterday  I woke up to eat breakfast like any other normal day. I sat Rookie on my lap as I ate Captain Crunch (lol) and read a magazine. After I ate I started to gag and cough like usual, now that i'm pregnant eating in the morning is a chore. This time though, when I coughed I literally bled through an entire pad within seconds.(sorry TMI) I called my mother in law since Skyler is out of town, and she rushed over to take me to the hospital. After a long examination via ultrasound they discovered that my placenta has pulled away from my uterus a little bit and has caused a tear, which is what caused so much bleeding. I started crying when she let me hear its heartbeat and saw that he or she was moving around and looked totally healthy. She put me on bed rest for AT LEAST two weeks. I cant clean, cook, travel, or walk around at all. I am to lay horizontally and only get up to go to the bathroom.  If i've had no bleeding for at least two weeks I can get off bed rest. So pretty much i've been on bed rest for over 24 hours and I cant even count it as part of my two weeks because i'm still bleeding. LOL!

All in all though; if I get a baby out of this, I would do it all over again. Skyler and I are so excited to be parents and even though this is a trial we will just have to endure, it will all be worth it in the end. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and for his many blessings. The relief society president came over yesterday (hah what a coincidence) just to say hi, and when she heard what happened she offered to have people bring me over dinner every night since I can't cook. I just had to laugh because I knew Heavenly Father sent her my way, he thinks he's so clever! lol and i'm also very thankful for my in laws and for all of their help. My mother in law is seriously awesome, I love her to death and my sister in laws keep me company every night while Skyler's away. I don't know if they'll ever know how much they help me, and how much I needed them at this time in my life. All I ask of those of you who read this is to  please pray for our little baby and please pray that I will heal quickly and be able to carry to full term. I love you all so much and I hope I can somehow repay those of you who have helped me through all of my trials, you are such a blessing in my life.

Here's some pictures of our little one at 12 and 13 weeks. :)

One Year Anniversary 10-10-10!

Well, since this is my last post for a while I figured id better recognize Skyler and I's anniversary a little better. Me and Skyler met on November 5th, 2008. He apparently had been wanting to date me for years before we met and finally got my roommate to set us up. I remember feeling so comfortable with him and after that date we were inseparable! I'm not sure what exact day I fell in love with him, to be honest I think it just grew day by day. He told me about his two little sisters and how he used to tuck them in to bed every night, and that night he tucked me in and gave me a kiss on the forehead. The next day I came to work BEAMING and I knew he was the one. He proposed to me on July 4th 2009 at Disneyland in front of the castle and asked me to make him the "happiest man on Earth!" haha how fitting seeing as how we were at Disneyland! On October 10, 2009 we were sealed in the Salt Lake City temple for time and all eternity. He represents everything I ever wanted in a husband. He loves me more than I'm sure ill ever know. He puts the Lord first in all he does. He is good with children and loves to make them laugh. He's honest. Hard working. Kind. Loving. and SO much more! Thank you for choosing me Skyler, because I'm thankful for choosing YOU! Here are a few of my favorites from our big day!

One year down, eternity to go. Grow old with me, the best is yet to be!

Our Favorite Time of the Year~

October is my favorite month!~ Why? Because there is so much to look forward to this month! For instance: My birthday, our anniversary, Halloween, Fall CLOTHES, beautiful changing leaves, perfect weather, etc.  So far this October has been a complete blast! For MY BIRTHDAY Skyler totally spoiled me! First I picked up my sister in laws Kamie and Diane from the airport and when we got home this one on my table.

Edible arrangements MmmMMMmm... Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Bananas. It was SO GOOD and just what I was craving that day. haha I think I hovered over it an growled if anyone tried to eat one without my permission. jk but seriously though...

He also took me shopping all day in Downtown Denver, and of course I spent it all on fall clothes (they are my favorite). I bought tons of boots, scarves, and sweaters. It was tons of fun! THEN he took me to a french restaurant called LeCentral. It was amazing and we ate so much I thought for sure I was going to burst at any moment!

Skyler was such a SWEETHEART the entire day and made sure I had fun every second. Next he took me to Dave & Busters! When I was younger my dad used to take me and my friends there all the time and we would always have a blast! Its like a Chucky Cheese for teenagers and adults, and I was so sad when I moved away from California because Utah didn't have one. :( Well, Denver Colorado does so I was extremely excited to spend my birthday there! My in laws came too so that made it so much better! I love having my sister in laws Kamie and Diane here, they are such fun and sweet girls and I just adore them!

As you can see we had a blast! We all raced each other on the race car games and I got 2nd place! hah I was so proud of myself for beating Skyler I started jumping up and down! It was awesome acting like a kid again and being retarded with my cute hubby, he's hilarious when he gets competitive!

Also,  on 10-10-10 was me and Skyler's One Year Anniversary! Skyler wanted to make it special so we brain stormed a few ways to celebrate it. We wanted to do a cruise, but we are going on one most likely in February. Then we thought about Vegas, but Skyler's opening an office there soon so we will visit a lot. Then Skyler said. "what about Aspen?" Awww Aspen, I had always wanted to go there. So Aspen it was!

The weather was a high of 60 degrees every day and a low of 30. It was perfect and so gorgeous! We stayed at a very nice Hotel called the Viceroy, Skyler likes to do things big for anything worth celebrating so of course it was the nicest hotel in Aspen!
He is so sweet.  We got to bring Rookie with us which was awesome because it wouldn't have been the same without him. Let me just say that he DOES NOT like being walked on a leash. He would whine and just sit there every time we put it on him and would not move. hah he is so stubborn. After a while though he warmed up to it and started to walk around with us. Mostly because he loves his dad and every time he'd walk away, Rookie would chase him!

He liked to walk between my legs and make me look like an idiot, but he was being so CUTE I couldn't help but laugh! While in Aspen we mostly walked around and shopped, ate at amazing restaurants, relaxed, and went site seeing. We were also able to get a couples massage at the Spa there which was amazing! We were SUPPOSED to go on a hot air balloon ride but sadly...they were sold out. :( :( Maybe we will do that next year or something. :) Here are some pictures of our time there...

I also LOVED the food there. Skyler took me to the best restaurants and I swear I gained 5 lbs in 3 days just by eating so much!

Hah one more thing I just had to mention is that the ICE CREAM IN ASPEN just seemed to taste exceptionally better than anywhere else. They had a ginger cookie ice cream that tasted like autumn on a cone! Skyler laughed at me for saying that, but I couldn't get over how awesome it was!

I am so grateful to have such a sweet, caring, funny, handsome, and loving husband. This year has been CRAZY but I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone but him. He helps me to get through trials, and always makes sure that I am happy. I admire him for his hard work and dedication and every day i'm reminded that marrying him was the BEST decision I have ever made.  He shows how much he loves me every day, just by being HIM.  If every year is as happy and amazing as this one has been, then eternity looks even more amazing. I am one lucky girl to have him as my husband. I LOVE you Skyler, you are my everything!

(YEP, having your birthday and anniversary in the same month has its benefits!)

Yay for Marriage, and Autumn, and LIFE! Not to toot my own horn or anything but I'm loving my life right now! I am feeling SO thankful for my husband, family, friends, and most importantly to have the gospel in my life. I think sometimes you need to have a hard trial to realize how blessed you are, and I am BLESSED! I love you all, and thank you for helping me realize that.

September Part II~

Alright, so I've had a few people tell me I pretty much suck at blogging lately so I figured id better catch up before anyone else says anything. haha WHERE TO BEGIN! Well first off I love Colorado. Its gorgeous here and the weather has been perfect every day. I'm loving the autumn weather and get excited every day to wear scarves and boots! lol but this post is about September so ill talk about that in my next update. This last month Skyler I were getting settled in our new apartment and getting used to things. Every Sunday we've tried to spend quality time together while NOT breaking the sabbath; because its Skylers only day off, so we've had to be creative with our activities. For instance, Sunday Picnics! I know this is so random but i've always loved picnics, there's just something about the light breeze on a beautiful day while laying in the grass relaxing. Anyway, ive had a few picnics at the park with Skyler as well as family lately so here are some pictures! :)

It was also my sister in law Mariah's Birthday in September so Skyler and I threw her a surprise birthday party at our place. I made her a cake...haha totally not as good as my sister Becky would have made it but its the thought that counts right?!

Another fun thing we've done this September is Dinner Incentives with Skylers office. Every Saturday Skyler does an incentive for his guys that if they get a certain amount of sales that week he pays for all of them to go out to dinner. Buffalo Wild Wings seems to be their favorite right now... haha its not my favorite but what can ya do?! It was fun to spend time with everyone anyway.

Last but not least, I finally got to meet my first NIECE!! Her name is Arianna and she is such an adorable happy baby all the time. She hardly ever cries, and its so easy to make her smile you just can't help but love her! Skylers entire family is now living in Colorado with us in different apartments, so Skyler's brother Chad brought his family. His wife Mariah is such a nice and loving person, and gosh they have the cutest kids ever!
Well,  as you can see we are doing really well and will be moving back to Utah  and buying a home in late December/Early January. We like it here but I'm also missing my friends and family in Utah A LOT! Especially my nephews. I love ALL my nieces and nephews but after being with Pierson, Nathan, and Emmett every day for a month strait I'm having some withdrawals! Becky I miss you too and I CAN'T WAIT to see my sweet boys! :)

I have a lot to catch up on so stay tuned for another post this week!

August/September~ PART I

So far this September has been a busy month for the Dyer family! Skyler is finally home from Virginia after a GREAT summer working for RMI! We could not be happier with how things turned out and I'm so extremely proud of him! Skyler's parents; my in-laws, came in town from Alaska to re-do our Grandma Tona's bathroom and kitchen. While they were here Skyler's company had a big retreat on Labor Day Weekend in Bear Lake!! It was so fun having his parents in Bear Lake with us and to see all of Skyler's office as well as others from different offices, all together again.

Skyler has been truly blessed to have such great sales reps. They are extremely hard working and and down to earth GOOD GUYS! While in Bear Lake we stayed in a very nice cabin with a bunch of guys from Skyler's office as well as some of their wives and kids. We rented jet ski's and went boating all day. At nights we would sit by the campfire or stay inside and play games and eat junk food! It was a very fun labor day weekend, lets just say that!

Another exciting thing that happened this month was that Skyler finally got a Truck!!! If you know Skyler, you know that he has been talking about getting a Toyota Tundra for a VERY long time! I'm sure he could have gotten one a long time ago but he is also very responsible and didn't want to buy one unless he could put a lot down so he wouldn't go in to too much debt for it. We found an 07' black, double cab, Toyota Tundra with the TRD offroad kit. It was love at first site! lol I'm just happy my husband finally got his truck, he deserves it!
I was also able to do a another promotional Photo Shoot for Kate Johnson Photography, and Thai White photogrphy. Thai has been a friend of mine since I was 15 years old and she is currently trying to build her portfolio, so she asked me to do a photo shoot with her. She is so fun and I love how they turned out. Thanks Thai!

Last but not least, we moved to Denver Colorado!! Haha wow since the day we got married we have moved from Utah to Idaho, to Virginia and now Colorado! lol lets just says it been an adventure and extremely stressful at times but I guess that's what happens when you marry a summer salesmen. We are still in the process of moving everything in to our new apartment but so far I like it here. Its beautiful and the weather is a lot like Utah's. I DO NOT miss the Virginia humidity! It's nice to be in our own place again and not sleeping on the floor at my moms house or in a hotel. I'm just glad I get to be with my husband again and have some what of a normal life! The best part about it is that the sooner we are done here the sooner we can BUY A HOUSE!! Hopefully we will be in our own home by the end of the year. :) Skylers parents and Grandma were able to come visit us for a couple days here in Denver, so Skyler showed us around downtown. He served his mission in Denver so we were able to see all the different areas he served and where he lived. It was a cool experience and the best part was seeing how excited he got talking about his mission and all the people he met and baptized!
Picture above is of the area Skyler lived in on his mission and the apartments he lived in Downtown Denver. lol nice huh? He said he made good friends with one of the bums in his parking lot!

We were also able to visit the Denver Colorado Temple! It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be but still extremely gorgeous. We hung out there for a while and took pictures while enjoying the beautiful landscaping.
Ill be posting again soon with some more Denver Colorado Adventures! Stay tuned! :)
